Each year for 25 years or so, the Fall Festival has been presented by the ABCA for the community. It features quality artisans and crafters, a civil war re–enactment camp, a classic car show, live entertainment in the forms of music, dancing and clowns, a petting zoo, contests and more. This show has continued to improve year after year and has drawn in crowds of over ten thousand.
The Fall Festival is our premiere annual family event, attended by thousands. We close down Main Street for this amazing festival. For children, we have bouncy houses and slides, a petting zoo, pony rides, puppy rescues, arts and craft stations, contests and more. For the adults, we have a craft beer garden and wine tasting. Beer & wine reps will be on hand to answer your questions and chat about their products. And for everyone, there are a variety of top crafters, live music, and free giveaways.
Relive an exciting history at our civil war camp and reenactment. Battles both days, with the crack of pistols and carbines, hand-to-hand combat, the sulphur smell and smoke of canon powder, not to mention boys and men screaming in a delightful mess. You will experience their living quarters, cooking utensils, typical foods, lectures, period music, military & civilian demonstrations, color ceremonies, exhibits. Our reenactment portrays a vivid imitation of the stern realities of war.
The variety of food is awesome. From burgers and brats provided by the Lions club to Italian favorites, food trucks, specialty foods, and ice cream, there is something for everyone to eat throughout the day.
Proceeds from the Lions Club are used for scholarships, community projects, and support of local area residents with medical equipment and eye testing.
The event is rain or shine with seating available under tents. The shops in town also offer specials during the Fall Festival.
Free parking and a shuttle are available. You can park at the high school on High Street and take the free shuttle over to the festival. The Fest is open from 10:00AM – 5:00PM both days. We look forward to seeing you there!
